Signal was founded in 1992 by Rick Haynes and Dave Grinnell after a painful downsizing at their former employer forced Rick to layoff his entire creative team. Rick wanted to create a place to give those talented individuals an opportunity to showcase their talents and provide an exceptional experience for clients.
Starting out as a traditional graphic design firm, over the years Signal has continuously added advanced digital marketing services and capabilities and evolved into a dynamic digital agency while retaining its close-knit "business family" culture.
